Mediterraneo Vista is a floating restaurant rooted in the warmth of Italian hospitality. It is designed to feel like a home away from home, where every detail invites guests to stay a little longer.
Design Challenges: The objective was to develop a comprehensive brand system, including logos, icons, and menus, that captures the welcoming essence of a traditional Italian home. I wanted to stay true to an authentic Italian vibe while also acknowledging the unique floating nature of the restaurant.
Solution: For the logo, I created a scene that depicts the restaurant sitting on the water, surrounded by boats with a beautiful sky in the background. To ensure the color palette felt authentic, I used a photo sent to me by a companion while they were in Italy. I extracted the colors directly from the houses in the background of that image using the eyedropper tool, resulting in a palette that feels genuinely rooted in the Italian landscape.
Result: For the final identity system, I created primary, secondary, and tertiary logos to ensure versatility. This allows the brand to function effectively across various formats. From physical signage within the bakery to social media platforms, while maintaining a cohesive visual language throughout.
